One of my fondest memories of Ribfests past is the year that Loverboy headlined on the Saturday night. Lead singer Mike Reno was dressed in the obligatory red leather jacket and pants but he was a lot heavier than we remembered him (aren't we all) and he was walking with a limp.
So the boss said, blog about your favorite thing about Ribfest. Well, I like ribs well-enough. I like cole slaw. Certainly like cold beer. But still my favorite thing about Ribfest is (to borrow/steal a trick from Ryan Seacrest) after the click.
Don't forget to go to WRKR.com and check out the bands that are up for voting to see who kicks off RKR Night 8/7 at Ribfest 2015. Right now, the line up is Bone Hawk, Hairmania, and, of course, Blue Oyster Cult.
Kalamazoo Ribfest can be overwhelming; between what to eat, what to drink, and what to watch — how does one fit it all in? You can't do it all in one night (without regretting it the next day), so if you can only make it to one night of Ribfest... choose wisely.
Some of the Kalamazoo Ribfest bands you already know. Some of them you get to help decide. Check out the list below to see the lineup, and click the button below to vote for the Kalamazoo Ribfest 2015 opening band!
